Tree trimming is priced on what is under the tree, not on how tall it is. A tree in an open garden that can be worked freely is at the cheap end of tree trimming; a tree three feet off a conservatory with a hydro service through it, coming down in pieces on ropes, is at the other. Across Ontario, trimming a single tree spans a wide range and tree removal spans a wider one — a few hundred dollars for something small and open, well into four figures for something large, dead or awkward. Those are market figures and not a quote. Somebody comes out, looks, and writes a number down, and that visit costs nothing.
